Created as a photo-studio lookalike, Hanif Kureshi and Jyotindra Jain’ travelling photo studio was designed to help visitors experience a celebrated cultural phenomenon from India’s past - that of getting images made in a photography studio. Adapting images from ‘indian popular culture’ by Prof. Jain, the Studio also provided a glimpse of India’s dominant visual aesthetic back in the 70s and 80s.
